People are at the core of what we do, and the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners and communities is our priority. We’re closely following the novel coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak and taking steps to prevent its spread. Below are some of the key points from our Business Continuity Plan:
- While there are a lot of competing information sources, we follow the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 website as well as any specific Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) directives.
- We are in constant communication with our workforce. We have sent notices to our employee population, have followed up with individual communications, conference calls, updating posts on our various internal and external websites, and social media.
- We have suspended any business air travel until further notice and the last person who traveled on an airplane is working remotely with no physical contact with DPI employees.
- We have banned all face-to-face meetings and will implement creative use of technology to ensure business communications (both internally and externally) continue without interruption.
- All staff employees that are able to work remotely have been set up to do so. Our headquarters in Portland, Oregon, is open and functioning with a limited crew and ideally no more than ten employees in the building at any given time.
- We have installed new hand sanitizing stations and have met with our janitorial company to ensure additional deep cleaning each evening.
- Prior to placing any employee on an assignment at a customer site, we will inquire about their health, home, and travel conditions. While we know at this point it is not a guarantee, it is a mitigating screening that can foster a larger conversation.
We appreciate your continued support of the DPI mission. As we confront COVID-19 together, keeping these common-sense suggestions in mind can help make us all safer. We will keep you all updated of any changes to our operations in the coming weeks.
